Restorative yoga can be a key tool in helping to still the mind and repair the body. In this 20 hour training, we will explore the basic postures used in restorative classes, why we should even practice restorative yoga, and the effect of restorative yoga on a physiological, mental and emotional level. We will discuss the techniques for using props in order to allow your students to get completely comfortable and how to create a safe space and environment. This training will also briefly touch on what yoga nidra (yogic sleep) is and how to use this technique as a means of deep meditation and restoration for your own personal practice as well as in your classes.
For those participating in Vibe’s 500 Hour Program, this elective will count for 20 hours towards the program.
